1:4 Dovetail Marker Set

1:4 is the ratio of choice when working in soft woods like pine and cedar.  Woods that are softer are more likely to deform under stress.  The increased ramping at 1:4 provides additional overlap of the stock and a longer glue joint where it matters for strength.
